Good questions. Clear answers.
Here are the details clients ask about most often. If your event is unusual, we would be happy to talk through it.
Frequently asked questions
Do you supply the alcohol?
No. Under our planned service model, the client purchases, owns, transports and supplies all alcohol. Messer Bar Co. provides service guidance and qualified bartending, subject to applicable regulations and venue approval.
What else does the client provide?
At launch, the client also supplies mixers, ice, garnishes, cups or glassware, other beverage consumables, and an appropriate physical bar or table unless specifically included in the written proposal.
How long is a package?
Our core packages have a four-hour minimum of guest-facing bar service. Planned setup before the bar opens and breakdown of our service area afterward are separate from those four service hours.
How many bartenders are included?
Private Event, Signature Event, and Corporate & Holiday packages include a two-person team. Larger events and special requirements are quoted individually.
Can you help us figure out quantities?
Yes. We can recommend beverage quantities and build a client shopping list based on your guest count, menu, service window and preferences.
Do you serve at venues that require special documents?
We review venue rules, insurance requests, and applicable licensing or permit requirements before confirming that we can provide service. Some venues may not allow outside bar vendors.
How much notice should we give you?
Earlier is better, especially for weekends and holidays. New bookings made within seven calendar days may incur a $150 short-notice fee if we can accommodate the request.
What does the founding offer include?
Founding rates are planned for the first 10 confirmed bookings or bookings made by November 30, 2026, whichever comes first, subject to launch readiness. The event itself can take place afterward.
Do you clean up at the end?
We break down and clean our bar operation, tools, materials and immediate service area. General event cleanup, furniture movement, guest trash elsewhere, food areas, bathrooms and floors are not part of the standard package.
How does booking and payment work?
Our planned policy uses a signed agreement and 30% booking retainer, with the remaining balance due seven calendar days before the event. Final terms will be included in your signed agreement.
Can the bartender refuse to serve a guest?
Yes. Messer Bar Co. staff will retain authority to refuse or stop alcohol service when age cannot be verified, a guest appears intoxicated, or safety is in question. Hosts cannot override a responsible-service decision.
Can we add more time?
Additional hours are available when booked ahead. Day-of extensions depend on staffing availability and prior authorization or payment.
Can we bring our own signature cocktail recipe?
Absolutely, provided it fits the menu, ingredients are appropriately supplied, and the preparation is compatible with venue and applicable rules. We can discuss realistic service speed and ingredient planning.
This page describes Messer Bar Co.'s working launch model and policies, not a final binding contract. Actual service is subject to legal requirements and a signed agreement.
